1st half is instrumental and is reminiscent of a more Spartan John Fahey slowed way down (but without the pitch change). 2nd half adds plaintive vocals and after "Chrissy's Home" the guitars/dulcimers (?) are more focused, sprightly and more conventionally melodic (compared to the first half).
